Grand Est, previously Alsace-Champagne-Ardenne-Lorraine is a French administrative region in northeastern France. The new name 'Grand Est' was chosen last year. It means 'Big East.' Grand Est sounds fancier. Grand Est contains ten departments: Ardennes, Aube, Bas-Rhin, Marne, Haute-Marne, Haut-Rhin, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Vosges. The area is about 1/3 the size of Georgia. It is a huge wine and champagne region: Moselle, Champagne, Burgundy, and others.
The towns I visited are on the right: click a location to view the photos. Some of these places are just small villages, some with a few thousand folks. Dijon and Auxerre were pretty sizeable. Strasbourg is one of France's largest cities, and of course, Paris is twice the size of Metro Atlanta.

That last pic is so breathtakingly beautiful and stunning. I would have an issue leaving the house every day if that was my constant view. Who would want to stare at anything else? What place could be more pleasant to the eyes than this? Wish it was my computer wallpaper or backdrop! I could get lost in it for days.
